World Day of Saving - Saving in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 30 October - WORLD/DAY/SAVING
On 31 October, 1924, 350 representatives of over 700 savings banks from 27 countries gathered in Milan and founded the International Saving Institute. At the time the Institute adopted the following proclamation: "Work and saving are the major factors leading to the prosperity of progress and dignity of every individual and the society as a whole." The representatives at the meeting announced 31st October World Day of Saving.
