Carinthian Writer Messner Dies

Klagenfurt, 27 October - Slovenian writer in Austria's Carinthia Janko Messner died at the age of 89 early on Wednesday in a hospital in Klagenfurt, the daily Vecer reported on its website on Thursday. Messner, who is also known as a poet, playwright and translator, was a tireless fighter for the rights of the Slovenian ethnic minority in Austria.
