Second Slovene Biennial of Illustration; Wide Choice and High Quality; Marlenka Stupica Awarded Life Achievements Award

Ljubljana, 3 November - ART/ILLUSTRATION/BIENNIAL
The Second Slovene Biennial of Illustration, featuring the work of 49 artists, opened in the Ljubljana cultural centre Cankarjev dom Thursday evening. This year's Biennial offers a wide choice of high quality works and great richness of artistic expression, Maruša Avguštin, a member of the jury, said at the opening of the Biennial, organized by the Slovene Fine Arts Association and the Cankarjev Dom Gallery. The jury decided to award the 1995 life achievements award to Marlenka Stupica.
