Slovenia has signed a contract with the company Air Tractor Europe S.L. for the purchase of four firefighting aircraft in a bid to significantly improve its efficiency in fighting potential wildfires. The first two Air Tractors are due to arrive in Slovenia in June, just in time before peak fire season, and the other two next year.

The government will be presenting the tax reform soon, even though it is not a priority, Prime Minister Robert Golob told the MPs during questions time on Monday. He underlined the proposal "will definitely not be what some officials presented and will definitely not entail taxation of the vacation bonus, travel expenses, or new real estate taxes."

The National Assembly will start its monthly plenary on Monday as part of which it will debate the Democrats' (SDS) motion of no confidence in the government and take a re-vote on the changes to the Foreigners Act. A budgeting framework for 2024-2026 will be discussed at an emergency session on Friday.
