Ljubljana University Honours Nobel Prize Laureate Zur Hausen

Ljubljana, 29 November - The Ljubljana University awarded on Tuesday a honorary doctorate to German virologist and Nobel Prize winner Harald zur Hausen, who discovered the role of the human papillomavirus (HPV) in development of cervical cancer, the university said in a press release. He received the 2008 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.
