Parliamentary Committee Endorses Austerity Bill

Ljubljana, 22 December - The parliamentary Finance and Monetary Policy Committee passed late on Thursday an austerity bill that is to freeze pensions, public sector pay and social transfers bar unemployment benefits on the level of 2010 in the first half of 2012. The bill is expected to be passed in the plenary tomorrow after several failed attempts in the past months.
