Economist Believes Mercator Bid For Lasko Defence Manoeuvre

Ljubljana, 23 December - Commenting on the recent twist in the sale of retailer Mercator, agricultural economist Ales Kuhar said that Slovenia's leading grocer probably published an intention to take over the indebted beverage company Pivovarna Lasko as part of a defence manoeuvre to avoid getting sold to its Croatian rival Agrokor. He also raised antitrust concerns.
