New Social Legislation Steps into Force Despite Public Concern

Ljubljana, 1 January - Slovenia's new social security legislation stepped into force with the start of 2012, transferring a number of benefits from the pension system to the social security system. It has been a cause of concern for many, especially as it introduces property in the eligibility criteria for some of the benefits that had been income-based so far.
