Half a Decade of the Euro in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 1 January - Five years ago to this day Slovenia adopted the euro as the first among the new EU member states to do so. At the same time Europe is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the introduction of euro bank notes and coins. Both anniversaries come amid the most serious crisis in the 13-year history of the currency.
