OSCE Human Rights Chief Urges Closure of Guantanamo Prison
Vienna, 11 January - On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the transfer of the first detainees to the US prison in Guantanamo, the head of the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, Janez Lenarčič, voiced disappointment over the continued practice of indefinite detention of terrorism suspects there without charge or trial.
