City Council Demands Koper Port to Get Rid of Bulk Cargo

Ljubljana, 5 April - The Koper city council decided on Thursday to demand of the operator of Slovenia's sole sea port, Luka Koper, to stop handling bulk cargo by 2015 and pay damages to people from nearby villages as raised levels of particles from dry bulk cargo have often been detected in the air. Luka Koper says the decision will jeopardise its existence.
