Ljubljana/Calgary, 18 May - This year's Vilenica Prize winner David Albahari, a Canada-residing Serbian writer of Jewish origin, perceives his ethnic diversity as an advantage. There is nothing tragic in being a writer in diaspora, he has told the STA. On the contrary, a diaspora writer can be an observer with many opportunities for writing.
