Police Union Rejects Deal with Govt, Sticks to Referendum

Celje/Ljubljana, 25 May - The Trade Union of Police Officers confirmed on Friday that its members had rejected the deal reached between the government and police unions' negotiators a day earlier based on which Slovenia's two police unions were to withdraw their initiative for a referendum on austerity measures. The government is ready to continue talks.
