Veterans' Association Declines Ceremony Invitation in Protest

Ljubljana, 21 June - Sever, an association of police veterans who fought in the independence war, will not be taking part in National Day ceremony in protest against the cabinet's decision not to invite WWII veterans, who were traditionally a part of the ceremony. President Danilo Türk said that all genuine roots of statehood deserved to be respected.
