Thousands Attend Boat Pilgrimage in Strunjan

Strunjan, 15 August - A traditional Catholic pilgrimage by boat between Slovenia's coastal towns of Piran and Strunjan was held on Tuesday to celebrate the 500th anniversary of a Marian Apparition in the hills overlooking Strunjan. Thousands of believers attended the closing event at a local church where Ljubljana Archbishop Anton Stres gave evening mass.
