Bad Bank Act Adopted

Ljubljana, 3 October - The National Assembly passed in a 47:9 vote on Wednesday the government bill establishing a bad bank. Designed to clean up banks' balance sheets and kick-start lending, the bad bank will take over non-performing loans in exchange for bonds backed by up to EUR 4bn in state guarantees.
