Govt Wants to Set Financial Services Tax at 6.5%

Ljubljana, 8 October - The proposal for a tax on financial services unveiled by Finance Minister Janez Šušteršič last week envisages a 6.5% tax on commission on transactions exempt from VAT, according to government files. If the proposal is passed by the end of the year, tax collection could start in April 2013.
