SocDems Propose Additional VAT Cut for Media, Hike in General VAT

Ljubljana, 11 October - The opposition Social Democrats (SD) proposed on Thursday that VAT be additionally reduced from 6.5% to 6% for print media, books and the basic food, and to 2% for organic food, a reaction that comes in response to the government's plans to raise the reduced VAT for print media and several other services to the general VAT level.
