Over 70% of Slovenia Suitable for Wind Farms, Survey Shows
Ljubljana, 18 October - Environmental NGO Birdlife Slovenia (DOPPS), which opposes the construction of a wind farm on the Volovja reber plateau above the town of Ilirska Bistrica because of the effect it could have on the birds in the area, has conducted a survey showing that more than 70% of Slovenia's territory is suitable for wind farms.
