Speaker Throws Out Bad Bank Referendum Motion
Ljubljana, 2 November - Parliamentary Speaker Gregor Virant announced Friday he was throwing out the opposition-sponsored motion for a referendum on the bad bank because it used scanned signatures instead of originals. The motion for a referendum on the Slovenian Sovereign Holding stands and could be debated by parliament next week.
