Leaving Office, Human Rights Ombudsman Pessimistic about Welfare State

Ljubljana, 4 November - The Human Rights Ombudsman, Zdenka Čebašek Travnik, will leave office in February after deciding not to seek a new term. Taking stock of her tenure, she is disappointed with the erosion of the rule of law and the welfare state in Slovenia. "Few would argue that Slovenia is still a welfare state," she told the STA in an interview.
