Maribor Mayor Gets Voted into National Council Amid Heavy Protests

Maribor, 21 November - Hundreds of protesters gathered in front of Maribor town hall on Wednesday evening in a failed effort to prevent the heavily criticised and investigated Mayor Franc Kangler from being elected a national councillor. The protest escalated after Kangler's election and the electors and the mayor had to leave town hall with police protection.
