General Strike Likely as Public Sector Unions Leave Talks

Ljubljana, 29 November - Representatives of public sector unions decided on Thursday to abandon negotiations with the government over further cuts to the public sector wage bill. Unionist Janez Posedi told the STA that the government was unwilling to discuss the amount of cuts and was only open to debate about how the cuts would be implemented.
