MPs Pass Changes to Banking Act, Boost Powers of Central Bank
Ljubljana, 14 December - The National Assembly passed on Friday changes to the banking act which give the central bank more oversight over banks and more powers to act in cases of troubled banks or violations. The tweak, meant to provide for a more effective resolving of problems at banks in times of crisis, was backed by 75 MPs and rejected by one.
