Slovenia to Exceed 3% Deficit This Year Due to Bad Bank

Brussels, 22 January - Slovenia has pledged to reduce its budget deficit to 3% of GDP this year, but statements by Finance Minister Janez Šušteršič in the run-up to a meeting of EU finance ministers in Brussels on Tuesday suggest it will miss the target due to the issuance of guarantees for the bad bank.
