Bad Bank Guarantees May Impact Slovenia's Deficit Target

Brussels, 22 January - Slovenia has pledged the EU to bring its budget deficit to 3% of GDP this year, but statements by Finance Minister Janez Šušteršič after a meeting of EU finance ministers in Brussels on Tuesday indicate a one-off increase of the deficit due to guarantees for the bad bank could affect the target.
