Unions Hope Strike Sent Message to the Government

Ljubljana/Pivka/Postojna, 23 January - Public sector trade unions expressed the hope Wednesday that the general strike which included an estimated 100,000 employees was a sufficient message to the government that it is necessary to sit down and talk. But government reactions indicate it does not plan to budge on the controversial 5% cut in the public sector wage bill.
