Slovenia Remembers Poet Prešeren with Bank Holiday

Ljubljana, 8 February - Slovenia observes a bank holiday on Friday in the memory of France Prešeren (1800-1849), who is regarded as the greatest Slovenian poet. The holiday of culture will be marked by a number of ceremonies and other festivities around the country, but also by political gatherings.
