Carnival Festivities Summon Spring
Ptuj/Ljubljana/Cerknica, 10 February - Carnival processions and festivities culminated on Sunday, bringing crowds and masks to the streets of cities and towns around Slovenia. While traditionally meant to chase away the winter and welcome spring, the carnival festivities at least managed to bring sunny skies across the country on Sunday after Saturday's clouds and snow.
