First Estimates Show EUR 606m Loss in Slovenian Banks in 2012

Ljubljana, 14 February - The Slovenian banking system generated a pre-tax loss of EUR 606m in 2012, according to initial estimates unveiled on Thursday by central bank Banka Slovenije governor Marko Kranjec. The main reason for the poor performance are the banks' high impairments and provisions.
