EU Forecasts 5.1% Deficit, 2% GDP Contraction for Slovenia in 2013

Brussels, 22 February - Slovenia's budget deficit is projected to hit 5.1% of GDP and its economy contract by 2% this year, according to a forecast released by the European Commission on Friday. A modest recovery is expected in 2014, when the economy is projected to grow by 0.7% and the deficit to narrow to 4.7%.
