Committee Approves Jakič for Defence Minister

Ljubljana, 18 March - The parliamentary Defence Committee endorsed in an 8:5 vote on Monday Roman Jakič for defence minister. The hearing of Jakič, a deputy of the Positive Slovenia (PS), revolved around a reproach by the Democrats (SDS) that he had been against the establishment of the Slovenian armed forces in the early 1990s.
