Inheritance Act Found to Be Discriminating against Gay Couples

Ljubljana, 9 April - The Constitutional Court has found the inheritance act to be in disagreement with the Constitution because of unequal treatment of inheritance in heterosexual and same-sex common-law partnerships, a decision seen as a landmark by the LGBT community. The court ordered the National Assembly to amend the act accordingly within six months.
