Slovenian Halal-Labelled Salami Containing Pork Withdrawn from Sale
Maribor/Stockholm, 11 April - Maribor-based food producer TMI Košaki said on Thursday it had withdrawn from sale a Kulen salami product that authorities in Sweden say contains pork meat despite being labelled as halal or compliant with Islamic dietary laws. TMI Košaki indicated that things might have gone wrong at the company's Austrian subcontractor.
