SocDems for Action on Tax Evasion, Higher VAT Last Resort

Ljubljana, 9 May - The junior coalition Social Democrats (SD) have drawn up several proposals to amend the plans of measures for fiscal consolidation and reforms ahead of Thursday's government session. They see a rise in VAT only as the last resort, while urging tougher action on tax evasion and arguing that privatisation ought to be based on a strategy.
