Govt Opt for Mix of Tax Hikes, Spending Cuts to Balance Budget

Ljubljana, 9 May - The government unveiled Thursday a plan to raise an additional EUR 540m with new taxes as part of efforts to balance the budget. This will be coupled with a roughly equal amount of spending cuts, Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek said.
