Unions Call for Referendum on Fiscal Rule

Ljubljana, 23 May - The ZSSS trade union confederation accused Thursday the government of cowering to Brussels as it backtracked on plans for the fiscal rule to take effect in 2017. The rule taking effect in 2015 will destroy the welfare state, the union said, calling on MPs to request a referendum on the issue.
