Unions Concerned about Jobs as Mercator Is Sold to Croatians

Ljubljana, 17 June - The ZSSS trade union confederation and the Retail Workers' Union expressed concern on Monday about Friday's sale of a 53% stake in Slovenia's largest grocer Mercator to Croatian rival Agrokor. Claiming the sale was not transparent, the unions said Agrokor had failed to provide any concrete financial guarantees.
