Tonin re-elected NSi head for another two years

Matej Tonin was re-elected for his fourth consecutive term at the helm of the opposition party New Slovenia (NSi) at a party congress in Škofja Loka on Saturday. The party also expressed support for a new reactor at the Krško power plant and called for an early election that would result in a stable centre-right government.

Kaloh third MP to leave SDS

Dejan Kaloh, an MP for the opposition Democrats (SDS), announced he was leaving the party on Saturday. Coming on the heels of resignations by MPs Anže Logar and Eva Irgl, the move was not unexpected, as they were the only three MPs who refused to sign a party loyalty statement earlier this year, which resulted in much tension.
