Slovenian Archaeologist Discovers Ruins of Hidden Maya City

Ljubljana, 10 July - Slovenian specialist in Mayan archaeology Ivan Šprajc and his team have recebtly discovered the hidden ruins of an ancient Mayan city in a remote jungle in the western Yucatan peninsula. Further research on this site could shed more light on the Late Classic Maya period, Šprajc told the STA in an interview after returning from Mexico.
