JNA Officer Gets Five Years for Independence War Crimes
Murska Sobota, 26 August - The Murska Sobota District Court on Monday found Berislav Popov, a former officer of the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA), guilty of war crimes against civilians during the Slovenian independence war of 1991, sentencing him to five years in prison. Vlado Trifunovic, the other JNA officer tried at the court, was meanwhile acquitted.
