Fischer Meets German-Speaking Community, Who Wants Status of Ethnic Minority

Kočevje, 1 September - Austrian President Heinz Fischer paid a visit to a tiny German-speaking community in the town of Kočevje in the south of the country as he started his official two-day visit to Slovenia on Sunday. The 100-strong community took this opportunity to urge the authorities to recognise them as an ethnic minority in Slovenia.
