Komenda Mayor Gets 8 Months for Abuse of Office

Komenda, 14 September - Tomaž Drolec, the mayor of Komenda (north of Ljubljana), has been sentenced to eight months in prison for abuse of office by issuing a loan guarantee in 2010 without the consent of the municipal council and the Finance Ministry, the dailies Delo and Večer report. The ruling is not yet final and Drolec has announced an appeal.
