Govt Urged to Scrap Subsides Damaging Environment

Ljubljana, 16 September - A web community with ties to Slovenia's leading environmental NGO urged the government on Monday to abolish damaging subsidies in the amount of at least EUR 100m in the budget for 2014. This would enable preservation of rights in healthcare, welfare, education, pensions and culture, they say.
