Religious Communities Close Ranks against Real Estate Tax

Ljubljana, 30 September - Four Christian religious communities and the Islamic community in Slovenia urged the government on Monday no to impose a real estate tax on sacral buildings. The tax would present a severe financial burden that the communities would not be able to bear, the said, adding that the tax was also an infringement of human rights.
