Slovenia Remembers Its Key Military Figure

Kamnik, 23 November - Slovenia observes Rudolf Maister Day on Saturday in memory of the day in 1918 on which General Rudolf Maister (1874-1934) took control of Maribor and in effect secured what later became Slovenia's northern border. Addressing the main ceremony, President Borut Pahor highlighted the need for cooperation of all for the sake of all.
