Slovenians Opted for Independence 23 Years Ago

Ljubljana, 23 December - It is 23 years, to the day, since Slovenians voted overwhelmingly to break away from Yugoslavia, a decision that led to formal declaration of independence six months later. It is also 22 years since the Slovenian Constitution was passed and declared in parliament.
