Second Challenge Mounted Against Real Estate Tax

Ljubljana, 3 January - A second motion against the real estate tax was brought at the Constitutional Court on Friday by the authors of a petition against the tax, who claim that it will undermine the financial independence of local communities.

The Association of Municipalities, the Chamber of Crafts and Small Businesses (OZS) and the opposition People's Party (SLS), which collected some 80,000 signatures on a petition against the real estate tax in late 2013, challenge the law at the Constitutional Court.
