Community Service Increasingly Popular, But Also Costlier for Taxpayer

Ljubljana, 5 January - Community service has become an increasingly common way of serving criminal justice sanctions in Slovenia in recent years. But the cost of such alternative sentence is high at over EUR 0.5m a year. What is more, one out of three persons given the community order fails to do the job properly.
