Police Obtained IP Addresses of Portal Users Without Court Order

Ljubljana, 9 January - Slovenian police had frequently sought to obtain data on commenters on online forums without court orders. Of 35 such requests in 2012, only four were backed up by court orders, but the managers of the portals nevertheless handed over information in 23 cases, shows a report by the Information Commissioner.
